Are you spending too much on PC asset management?

How do you manage your computers?
Or are you not doing anything at all?


Regarding computer management (which some companies refer to as “asset management”),
unless you’re dealing with a very large-scale operation—one where you need to keep track of 200 or more computers—
it may be entirely possible to manage them effectively without using paid software.


Since this idea was well-received by a client company,
I’m sharing it here as a column.


If you’re interested,
・PCView or PCAsset
・PC Management Ledger
and other free software.
Since they’re free, you’ll need to research and manage them on your own,
they can actually be quite useful in many cases.
