“Do you ever hold seminars on systems?”
Very rarely, we receive questions like this from company presidents.
Our answer is, “We don’t hold any seminars at all.”
There are several reasons for this,
I’d like to explain them in this column.
① It’s difficult to secure enough attendees, and coordinating schedules is a major burden
Since we’re renting a venue, it feels rather dull to have an empty room.
Naturally, we want to hold seminars with nearly full attendance, but
since specific locations and dates must be decided in advance,
it places a heavy burden on the participating CEOs to coordinate their schedules.
② We have to water down the content
When addressing a large audience,
speakers must present the same content to everyone—that is the nature of seminars.
The more participants there are, the more likely it is that some will find the content boring if it is too in-depth,
the content must be kept as “easy for anyone to understand” as possible—
meaning the content should be at a level where
.
There is also the reality that the atmosphere tends to become dull the more specific examples you give.
For example, even if you present
,
even even among companies in the same metal manufacturing industry, business partners, product types, and volumes vary,
and work methods vary widely from company to company.
It’s a fact that when specific examples are presented,
and start flipping through the pages of the handout.
③ The seminar itself isn’t helpful
After listening to the seminar presentation, participants often ask, “So, what should we do?”
in the end, the only option left is to “consult the seminar organizer individually.”
To sum it all up in one sentence:
"We believe that the effort required to organize and attend such seminars is not worth the benefit to either party,"
That is why we have decided not to hold seminars on the system.
If you are facing difficulties or issues,
or if you’re unsure where to look for the root cause,
we’d be happy to assist you individually rather than through a seminar,
so please feel free to reach out to us.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
