Thank you for your interest and continued support.

I’d like to address the question, “How often should you replace your computer?”
Our conclusion is: “It depends on the purpose.”
1. Computers that are the only one capable of performing a specific task
If there is a specific task that can only be performed on a particular computer
, we recommend replacing it after about three years, even if it’s still working.
You don’t have to dispose of a computer after three years; you can rotate it to other tasks.
*While this is a different issue from replacement, keeping a backup machine on hand is also an effective measure.
2. Computers used for a specific task where multiple units exist
If there are multiple computers available for performing a specific task,
, it is acceptable to decide to “use them until they break.”
It may also be a good idea to use the "hand-me-down" units mentioned in section 1 above.
3. Laptops for use outside the office
While it is often difficult (or impossible) to recover from problems that occur while on the go,
carrying two computers with you every time is not a practical solution.
For laptops used on the go, we recommend a short-term replacement cycle.
4. Things to keep an eye on
In any of the above cases,
・Performance has become extremely slow
・Unusual noises or excessive heat
we recommend replacing the device immediately.
Please feel free to use this as a reference.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
