Thank you for your interest and continued support.
This is Takahashi from the Marketing Plan Research Laboratory.
During a casual conversation with the president,
I sometimes hear comments like,
I’ve heard comments like that.
You might actually be able to aim even higher than that.
Have you heard of Kongo Gumi?
Kongō-gumi is the oldest company still in existence in the world.
Founded in 578 AD, it’s a company that has survived for a remarkable 1,432 years.
Since we don’t do business with Kongo Gumi,
I don’t have any firsthand information or a real sense of what kind of company they are,
but I hear their headquarters is in Osaka, so I’m thinking of paying them a visit the next time I’m in the area.
Just that alone seems like it might bring some good fortune.
As human beings, our abilities decline after about 80 years at most, and we are destined to die someday.
The fact that a corporation has no limit to its lifespan is part of its appeal.
Of course, the scary thing about corporations is that if their management and operations are terrible, they can go under even at age zero (lol).
When I told the president of the company I mentioned earlier about this, he was delighted.
(Of course, the president was already familiar with Kongo-gumi,
but I think he was just pretending to hear it for the first time.)
If you’re curious, please search for “Kongō-gumi.”
I think you’ll be able to find feature articles about them in various media outlets.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
