Thank you for your interest and continued support.
This is Takahashi from the Marketing Plan Research Laboratory.
Long ago, system companies like ours
were called “Sensei” by our client companies
It was an era when many companies didn’t even have a single computer installed,
and I feel that back then, experts like us were leading the IT industry.
Around the time of the Lehman Shock, the term “partner” began to be used more frequently.
Personal computers had become almost universally adopted, and companies without a single one had become a thing of the past.
As companies’ IT capabilities improved,
I feel we’ve shifted into a role more like a supporter running alongside our corporate clients.
Around the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, it seemed that the concept of the cloud had become widely understood,
and the number of times we’re asked, “What exactly is the cloud?” has dropped significantly.
I predict that within the next 5 to 10 years,
knowledge and concepts of low-code/no-code and AI will become widespread.
(Whether it’s the cloud or no-code, regardless of whether individual companies actually adopt them or not)
As IT literacy improves and becomes more widespread throughout Japan,
companies’ perceptions of system integrators will gradually shift.
In the past, they were seen as “teachers”; until recently, as “partners.” What will happen next?
I predict that, going forward, system companies will be referred to as “useful tools.”
I believe the relationship between companies and system integrators will evolve into one where companies take the lead in shaping their own IT strategies,
and I believe the relationship between companies and system integrators will evolve in this direction.
and I’m really looking forward to it.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
