Thank you for your interest and continued support.
This is Takahashi from the Marketing Plan Research Laboratory.
We do not sell UTMs, even if asked.
Here’s why.
*If you’ve never heard of UTM,
you don’t need to know.
There’s no need to go out of your way to look it up or learn about it.
① There are a mountain of things that need to be done before even considering implementing UTM
・Issue a directive prohibiting employees from watching YouTube or similar sites at work
Even during break time, as long as they are on company premises,
There is no need to allow access to non-work-related websites
This goes beyond security concerns—such as viewing adult websites.
This isn’t something you should spend money on to prevent.
If smartphones aren’t used for work, you might as well ban Wi-Fi.
・Sign non-disclosure agreements with employees
・Review router settings
・Do not allow “unknown devices” on the LAN
・Do not expose internal assets (such as servers) to the outside world; migrate them to the cloud
② UTM does not prevent “data leakage by employees”
③ Even with UTM, “if a system gets infected, it gets infected”
④ UTM will not take responsibility if an infection occurs
⑤ It is simply too expensive (both setup and ongoing costs)
⑥ It interferes with business systems (we occasionally encounter issues where communication is improperly blocked)
That’s all.
Be careful not to be fooled by salespeople who try to scare you into buying their products just to make a quick buck.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
