“You can do such-and-such using a smartphone”
We’re seeing more and more business systems and IT services for companies touting this kind of claim.
I’m sure your CEO receives many flyers every day via fax or email.
Since smartphones are essentially small computers, I fully understand the appeal of the ideal of “having everything in the palm of your hand.”
However, a system’s true capabilities are best demonstrated in situations where a computer is used.
We must not forget that.
If you implement a system that claims, “You can handle such-and-such tasks on your smartphone during spare moments,”
it creates a sense of complacency among employees, making them think, “With this system, it’s okay to have downtime.”
It’s a shift in mindset: if you can work 24 hours a day, why shouldn’t you be able to slack off for 24 hours?
When expanding IT adoption, first consider what is feasible on a computer,
and supplementing tasks that are simply too difficult to accomplish on a PC with smartphone work.
I recommend proceeding with this approach.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
