Thank you for your interest and continued support.
This is Takahashi from the Marketing Plan Research Laboratory.
“I’m thinking of leaving the system stuff to the younger staff,”
I get the impression that there are surprisingly many company presidents who say this.
That might be tantamount to saying, “I’m going to leave the company in the hands of the younger generation.”
Systems are simply “an extension of our hands”—
—that is, elements related to labor savings and efficiency—
but they also serve as a “substitute for the mind”—
—in other words, elements that assist in making management decisions.
Systems present the current situation based on data, not intuition, and provide the president with the information needed to decide what to do next.
If the president has been explaining in detail to the “younger staff”
and what the company truly aims to achieve,
but typically, while young employees may be knowledgeable about computers, they are not well-versed in running a business.
To avoid creating a system where you simply hand it off and consider the job done (where implementation becomes the end goal),
I recommend that you actively participate.
That's all, Thank you for reading.
